JOINT PASTORAL COUNCIL

The Joint Pastoral Council for Holy Name and St. Philip Neri-Blessed Sacrament provides counsel to the pastor to assist him in decisions related to governance, evangelization, mission, and the care of the flock. The body is consultative and is composed of parishioners from both parishes. If you are interested in serving on the joint pastoral council, which meets monthly, please contact the Pastor.

The Joint Finance Council provides counsel to the pastor to assist him in decisions related to the stewardship of the financial and material resources of the parish. The body is consultative and is composed of parishioners from both Holy Name Church and St. Philip Neri-Blessed Sacrament Parish. If you are interested in serving on this body, please contact the Business Manager.

CONFRATERNITY OF THE HOLY FAMILY

The ladies of the Holy Name Confraternity of the Holy Family have given over a century of dedicated service to the parish. Their focus is to provide hospitality, sorority, and social outreach within the church community.  They have supported the poor through the St. Vincent de Paul Society, taken Communion to homebound, donated to Emergency Pregnancy Service, Bethlehem House, and other causes.

HOLY NAME MEN’S CLUB

Holy Name Men’s Club invites Catholic men age 18+ to grow in faith, friendship, and service. Through parish activities, family events, and community outreach, members support the life and mission of Holy Name Parish. New members are always welcome to join in serving the parish and our community.

HOLY NAME SCHOOL

Holy Name School is one of the three schools operated and managed by the Christian Urban Education Service (CUES) School System. Holy Name joins Sacred Heart and All Saints in this system. To learn more about the school and the mission of CUES, please click below.

ATHLETICS

Athletic opportunities for Holy Name parish and school families, including, e.g., volleyball, basketball, etc., are managed by the Holy Name Men’s Club. Through sports, we promote teamwork, sportsmanship, faith, and community, while supporting the mission of our parish.

PRO LIFE COMMITTEE

This committee promotes the dignity and sanctity of every human life from conception to natural death. Through prayer, education, and parish outreach, members support a culture of life and participate in activities that witness to the Church’s teaching. Parishioners are invited to join in prayer and service.

THE SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul provides person-to-person service to neighbors in need. Members offer compassionate assistance, including food, rent, and utility support, while sharing Christ’s love with those they serve. Parishioners are invited to join in this ministry of charity and compassion.

FUNERAL LUNCHEONS

A special service of the Confraternity is serving funeral luncheons. The practice was set up by Fr. Delort half a century ago. Table service, bread, butter and beverages are provided by the Confraternity; salads, casseroles, vegetable dishes and desserts are brought by volunteers.
